the oxfam "books and music" near m e is possibly the best charity shop ever. since coming to farnham i have found:
discworld 1 the game (1992) with original box and manual
3 stephen king books in perfect condition of the same series
the complete inspecter morse collection for a tenner
the last ever fast show DVD still sealed for a fiver
and now:
original first edition packaging of Jurrassic Shift by the ozric tentacles, complete with handwritten (!) order form and note to the buyer. this was the fabled 500 pressing with hemp paper. in perfect conditoon and i got it for £2 cos nobody knows wh the fuck they are!
its beautiful.
im also doing shitloas of work, if anyones interested. |

Wednesday is the usual boring day. there is so little to do today that i slept int he afternoon for a few hours... ive been lent monkey island 4 from a flatmate, so slowly working through that again (max payne got to that solid aeris part) and thats been today. actually, i lie, went round farnham a bit trying to find cool stuff to buy and found an ancient arthur c clarke book aboiut 2019.
now i sit here int he library doing nothing again, and backing up strongbad episodes possibly to put onto my phone... |

getting close to uni, and the packings going ok. i have however spent more time backing up dvds etc... but itll all work. candy got bacl from glouchester and i managed to find a stopwatch that i nne=eed for uni (mayeb for timing things, not really sure yet.) the dinign room is filling up quick with all my vrap.
any you guys seen the enw colege? went to check it out when i got my art cw back, and its really nice except some severly shit colour choices. my dad would whoop their arses for the dumb shades. pink floors? wtf? purple walls to go with that? bloody mad. but the bildings nice.
ikea is the home of all uni stuff. got it all there cept cutlery hairdryer and arty stuff. im now trying to find a .10a scalpel. first contact is copying as i type but my computor wont do any bloody american dvds, most of candys are from there, so no high fidelity or dogma...
ive restrung my guitar and given it the biggest fuck off clean ever. like, 3 hours wiping the gunk of the frets, and it now plays v. nice (but i had to tighten the bridge as i have put 10gauge bullets on instead of standard tso its pulling the tremalo up all time) no ernie ball stirngs at the guitar shop, so bass will wait. ( tho my mum sed she would send some up as a preesnet, whcih saves me £30)
after katys rock apper siscors thing i played the weebls one, and one once. you just have to click loads.
um.... going to preorder sin city tonight and probably rent hitchhikers so ic an steal it.

ok, grades. ABBB (and as candy points out the a was in general studies...)
went out and it was pretty fun. most fun ive had out in a while saw cool people. out next week, but yesterday didnty feel like it. This last week has been pretty good really, now exams are over, wne tto candys a lot, and on wednesday got sneaked into centre parks with tim and we had a cool time, the rapids were pretty awesome, and i cant eblieve how warm the outisede pool is. i felt kinda like i havent been very good toh er lately, like ivelet her donw a bit.
yesterday andy came round and we had a recording fest. it went ok, but ive got some wholes of twiddlin ahead. itw ok so far, but im gonna have to change synths.
Today some animation boos came, riminds me how close it is. Im also gonna need to sort all my cutlery out etc... time for a trip to ikea!
but not now. now im off to candys again. |
